Braves Game Outing - Tuesday 6/28

Troop 212 and Braves vs. Cleveland Indians -  Tuesday June 28th

IMPORTANT SUMMER PLANNING INFORMATION TO ALL FAMILIES

Summertime brings many changes to the way we run our meetings and many activities are offered to our scouts. I thought we would pass along this information to our new and existing families.

Uniforms worn to meetings while school is out are Class B Troop 212 T-Shirts. Scouts going to Summer Camp should also have the Class B T-Shirts for activities (Adult and Scout T-Shirts are available from one of the Adult Leaders at any meeting. A $15 charge will be posted to your scouts account per shirt)

If you are running early to a meeting, please do not drop your son off unless you know other scouts or adults are also present. This will make sure the no one on one contact and 2 deep leadership policies of Scouting are followed.

The troop will be very busy during the summer - Summer Camp, Northern Tier High Adventure, at least 1 same day outing hiking and exploring, outing to a Atlanta Braves Game, Lake Martin 2 night outing in August. Additionally, we will have Troop Leadership elections in June and a Mini Merit Badge Day in August. 

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who continues to help with these activities and invite others who would like to help with any of the plans you see here that we are doing over the next few months. Please reach out to Mr. Anderson or Mr. Bohdan with any questions or guidance you should need.

Troop 212 May Outing – Ziplining at Banning Mills

When:  May 6^th (PROMPT 5:00PM departure) returning May 7^th before dinner.

 Where:  Historic Banning Mills in Banning, GA  30185.

 Cost:  Meals and camping estimated $14 (dinner 5/6, breakfast and lunch 5/7).

 1^st time zipliners for approx $49 per (only option). 

 Veteran zipliners may opt to do more advanced course for approx $71 per. (the $22 difference will be added to your scout account after we return)

 Any adults costs will be applied after the trip concludes

Sign-up Cut-off: 4/23/16 -  Final count and payment due to Banning Mills on this date.  Fees will apply for any cancellations after 4/23!!

Over 70 Rank and Merit Badges awarded * Almost half of our Scouts advanced a rank in the last 6 months

4 Scouts awarded the rank of Eagle * 2 Scout earned 6 Merit Badges and one of Scouts 11 Merit Badges ...WOW!

 COURT OF HONOR ON TUESDAY 3/22 - 6:30PM

Families are invited to join us for Court of Honor on March 22. This is an early start with Dinner being served at 6:30PM prior to the awards ceremony. See and congratulate our Scouts on recent advancement and other awards. Many other items to be covered as well including Friends of Scouting and this years Summer Camp plans.

Please let us know that you will be joining and how many will be 

coming from your family. The troop will be providing most food but a few sides are always nice. You can do that by RSVP at the following link.
